In 2024 I discovered Russell Hunter's "Abolitionists Rising" YouTube channel. I watched and watched his videos. At first it was his discussions with pro-choice advocates. His clear and decisive arguments enamored me, he easily showed the lack of coherence in being pro-choice. And even better he was loving and respectful very much unlike street preachers I have met in the past. But then I found his other videos. The ones involving the pro-life movement. Seeing his debates with pro-life incrementalists I suddenly saw how inconsistent the pro-life movement was with God's Word. I decided that I couldn't call myself Pro-Life anymore and started identifying as an abolitionist. However this wasn't it.

Though I was an abolitionist and having conversations here and there in my church about it, I wasn't doing much. I continued to watch Abolitionists Rising videos and learned new arguments. The presidential election was coming up for 2026 and though I knew Trump was "pro-life" I decided to vote for him, though I did debate back and forth in my mind and even joined an Abolitionists Rising discord to ask further questions. Trump was elected and I celebrated believing that this was our country headed in the right direction.

That January of 2026, about 2 years after discovering Abolitionists Rising, I decided to watch a sermon of Russell's for the first time. It was about Moses who represented immediatism and pharaoh who represented incrementalism. Pharaoh attempted to convince Moses to do "part" of what God said to do. Moses being a man of God refused, but this didn't avoid consequences. Pharaoh proceeded to make the Israelite's lives worse. Telling them that along with making the bricks they had to get their own straw. They moaned and groaned to Moses, begging him to leave them be. But God had a mighty plan that they didn't see yet, and Moses continued despite the complaints. I realized what I had done, I was scared of getting the straw. Although no one would deny if Kamala Harris became president it could have been horrible I realized I wasn't willing to obey God out of fear of putting my family's well-being in jeopardy. I had sinned.

This is where I felt God's pull to do more, much more. I went on the Abolitionists Rising website and put in an order for 3 signs. Informed my father-in-law and pastor, who had been an abolitionist long before me, and he felt the fire and immediately asked to join. We went onto University of Arizona's campus on Feb. 13th, and then outside the Tucson Rodeo on Feb. 27th.

My life was transformed, I started compiling and writing arguments, mostly focused on discussions with pro-life advocates. Sharing the truth that the pro-life movement is in iniquity and has compromised on God's Word and Law. Then I started working on Abolitionists Ignite. A way to organize Abolitionists in Tucson, hoping to expand to Phoenix and other states, pushing to abolish abortion everywhere we are.

If you feel the fire to obey Christ, you are in the right place. Join us in the fight, God didn't leave us on islands where we lone-wolf the battle against evil. He established the Church for a reason, so we could sharpen one another and be stronger than ever against the powers of darkness. There are many ways to help in the battle, whether you want to go out on the streets yourself, help spread the word, provide resources, you have a gift you can use in the fight. God is calling you to be a part of the growing movement of people who are sickened and disturbed by this atrocity, who are tired of sitting on the bench hoping others will be able to do the work. Obey Christ, ignite your heart, and protect the lives of the innocent. Don't wait until tomorrow, start TODAY!
